The US Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a lawsuit against Coinbase – in what seems to be the latest turn of events. The motion comes a day after the SEC also filed against Binance.
List of Altcoins Mentioned
The SEC’s lawsuit lists 13 altcoins (in a non-exhaustive list) as Crypto Asset Securities, which includes ADA, MATIC, SOL, and others.
No Mention of Ripple’s XRP
Interestingly enough, Ripple’s XRP is not even mentioned in the filing against Coinbase. This leaves open speculation on the ongoing case between Ripple and the SEC over unregistered sale of securities (XRP).
